Almost 12 years ago during our annual family vacation to Long Beach Island, NJ, against my wishes, my older sister decided to give me an assignment (which I wasn't fond of being that I was on vacation). My assignment- to read a book she had bought for me, entitled, The Four Agreements. The book, although a quick and easy read was just part of my assignment... the rest was being subjected to a weeks' worth of hourly surprise pop-quizzes on what the Four Agreements are, and how and where they would fit into my everyday.
Liken to being on a diet, you have to stick to it to see results, just as practicing four very simple rules, in all facets of your life.
Over the last couple of months, this book has been reared it's wonderful head in several different and unrelated situations. Not sure if it's a sign... but I recently re-read it, cover to cover, and it makes a lot more sense to me now than it did in 2005.
